Matthew Bentley
You and Matt used to hate eachother...you were the hyper one and he was the one that was self involved...your best friend, Kara used to have a huge crush on him but you and him always butted heads. He'd cuss you out sometimes and you'd do worse. You knew you could easily just beat the crap out of him but you never did...you never could. You knew there was something wrong there. He was cocky...no doubt about that...that's part of why you hated him so much...but when his parents started going through a divorce, you were the only one that was there for him in his eyes.
You'd spend Saturdays with him teasing him about the weird flippy thing his hair was doing and you'd always laugh at his jokes...that's when you started to see the real him...the sweet and funny blunt guy that no one else ever got to see. You couldn't help but notice how blue his eyes were. How beautiful his smile was. You couldn't help but notice how kind his words were...how the nurtured you when you were wounded. He told you one day that he liked you...a lot. He said the reason why is that you're beautiful...your personality...your heart...everything about you amazed him.
"I thought you hated me..." was your response. He shook his head.
"(Your name), I have had the biggest crush on you for the LONGEST time it's ridiculous. The second I saw you, I knew there was something about you that I'd never forget. I made it seem like I hated you because I didn't want you to know that I liked you so much..." he took a deep breath and then looked you in the eyes. "I know you probably don't like me back...I mean you probably like any other guy that isn't me...because I know you hate me and I'm okay with that but just know how much I love-" You interupted him with a soft and gentle shy kiss that left both of you speechless.
There were no words exchanged for a while until finally you said, "I love you too..." He grinned and for that second felt as if he was the happiest man alive. As if he could do anything he wanted but didn't because all he wanted to do was to be with you...right there.
After a couple years, he proposed. He told you how much he loved you...and how much he wanted to spend the rest of his life with you. When you said yes, your wedding was amazing. Your maid of honor was your best friend and the only thing that mattered to you was the other person at the end of the isle waiting for you, the loving gleam in his eyes
